Interior Designer - Bilingual in English/Mandarin

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated junior professional to join our team at Aegis Building Supplies, Inc. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for interior/architectural design, project coordination, and supporting marketing and sales activities. Key Responsibilities: ·        Project Coordination:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and client communications to determine scope and requirements.
• Create take-offs and generate quotations/proposals using estimating software.
• Review shop drawings from manufacturers to ensure alignment with project requirements.

·        Showroom Management: Oversee daily operations in our Houston, TX showroom, focusing on:

• Customers First: Provide fast, friendly service by welcoming customers, assessing their kitchen and bath needs, conducting showroom tours, setting up measures, discussing designs, and making purchasing recommendations.
• Inventory & Materials Management: Monitor inventory levels of showroom samples, brochures, and other marketing materials; reorder as needed to ensure availability.
• Showroom Appearance: Ensure the showroom and special-order displays are appealing and safe.

·        Sales Support: Drive sales to meet company goals by adhering to store priorities. Handle the complete ordering process for projects.                                                                                                                         Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in the interior design, architecture, or construction industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using estimating software.
• Skilled in Excel, Word, and Adobe Suite.
• Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, 2020 Kitchen Design, InDesign, etc. is preferred.
• Personal Attributes: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks with precision.
• Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing or selling cabinetry projects.
