Pipe layer-Drainer

Doherty’s Drainage are a Melbourne based civil contractor specialising in the construction of stormwater drainage systems. We work predominantly throughout the northern and western growth corridors on green fields developments and road projects.We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Pipelayer/Drainer to work within one of our drainage crews. The successful applicant will ideally possess the following:

• Knowledge of civil and road construction
• Knowledge and experience of laying stormwater drainage pipes
• CIC/white card/red card
• Current driver’s license
• Experience working on drainage or sewer projects
• Experience working on subdivision project
• Reliable with good attitude towards work

In addition to the above, it would be beneficial if the applicant held the following:

• Excavator ticket
• Front end loader ticket
• High risk work licenses (any)

Responsibilities will include:

• Working as a productive member of a stormwater crew
• Calculating pipe grades and levels
• Laying reinforced concrete stormwater pipes from 300mm Dia to 2100mm Dia
• Assisting drainage crews with the broader project (backfill, compaction etc.), duties not solely limited to pipelaying
