The venue caters to all types of patrons and prides itself on fresh, high-quality meals served in a friendly atmosphere.The roleA full-time position is available for a skilled and creative Cook with a passion for quality cuisine to join our vibrant team.As part of your duties & responsibilities, you will:1. Support the chef in the daily running of the kitchen and undertake responsibilities in their absence2. Review the menu periodically and propose new dishes in line with seasonal produce3. Calculating costs involved in new dishes and price changes in the existing menu4. Ensure junior staff use proper cooking techniques, portioning, and plating5. Monitor hygiene and OH&S compliance within the kitchen6. Check freshness of ingredients and ensure FIFO principles are followedThe applicantYou must love what you do and also:7. Hold a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery8. Have at least 1 year of relevant full-time work experience9. Be able to produce high-quality dishes under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen10. Have solid knowledge of sanitation and OH&S standards11. Be flexible to work nights, weekends, and public holidays12.
