Key Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based medical care within your specialty.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Prescribe and monitor treatment plans.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and on-call duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Adhere to GMC’s Good Medical Practice and hospital policies.
  • Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior colleagues where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Primary Medical Qualification (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent).
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) (with a licence to practise).
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications or membership (MRCP, MRCS, MRCGP, MRCPsych, FRCA, etc.) desirable depending on specialty and grade.
  • Minimum of 6–12 months post-graduate clinical experience in the UK (may vary by Trust).
  • Up-to-date life support certification (BLS/ALS/ATLS/PALS/NLS as required for role).
  • Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship may be available for long-term roles).
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or overseas police check if applicable).
  • Occupational health clearance (including immunisations as per NHS requirements).
  • Two recent clinical references.
