Renewables Quality Engineering Manager

Title – Renewables Quality Engineering Manager Location – Washington D.C. Metro Area Compensation - $145,000

This role is ideal for candidates with a strong ISO 9001 background in renewable energy, engineering consultancies, oil & gas, or electrical construction. If you have electrical quality experience and a track record of implementing quality management systems, we want to hear from you—even if you’re new to renewables!
Key Responsibilities:

• ISO 9001 Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance, consistency, and process efficiency across development, engineering, and construction phases.
• Quality Assurance & Data-Driven Insights: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct audits, and leverage data analytics to enhance quality strategies. Ensure corrective actions drive continuous improvement.
• Process & Software Optimization: Select and manage software tools for quality tracking, reporting, and workflow automation. Streamline procedures to reduce inefficiencies and enhance project execution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams to embed quality into every stage of project development. Foster a unified approach to quality management.
• Training & Continuous Improvement: Develop training programs to reinforce quality standards, ensure workforce adherence to ISO 9001, and implement best practices for ongoing process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven ISO 9001 Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience developing and managing an ISO 9001-certified QMS, preferably in engineering, construction, or energy sectors.
• Electrical Quality Expertise: Background in electrical systems, power generation, or industrial quality processes. Experience from engineering consultancies, oil & gas firms, or electrical construction companies is strongly preferred.
• Process Improvement & Data Analytics: Strong analytical skills with experience in KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement methodologies. Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to work across teams, influence stakeholders, and drive quality initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Technology & Software Proficiency: Experience with quality management software, SCADA, or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) is an advantage.
