Line Cook to join the heart of the house at
The Crossing Resort What You’ll Do As a Line Cook, you are the precision engine of our kitchen. You’ll turn raw ingredients into the signature dishes our guests crave.
- Execute the Menu: Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
- Master Your Station: Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station throughout the shift. When the rush hits, you’re ready.
- Quality Control: Follow recipes exactly and maintain consistent plating standards. If it’s not perfect, it doesn’t leave the window.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety regulations, including temperature logging, labeling, and cross-contamination prevention.
- Team Synergy: Communicate clearly with the Sous Chef and the front-of-house team to ensure every guest gets their meal timed perfectly.
What We’re Looking For - Experience: 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen (preferred but not required for the right attitude).
- Technical Skill: Solid knife skills and a deep understanding of various cooking methods (searing, braising, sautéing, etc.).
- Cool Under Pressure: You don't break a sweat when the dining room is full and the printer doesn't stop.
- Reliability: You’re a pro who shows up ready to work, respects the schedule, and supports your teammates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a hot environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
