Job Title: Commercial Trials Technician (6-month fixed term contract)
Location: Park Farm, Cambridge, CB24 9NZ
Starting Salary: £25,000 per annum
Contract: 6-month fixed term
Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:We are looking to recruit a Commercial Trials Technicians to work across a variety of protected environment facilities. The role will involve basic plant husbandry, assisting the trials co-ordinator with assessments, record keeping and photography as well as range of other practical tasks. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in protected agriculture/horticulture trials, while developing professional skills in team working, time management and practical problem solving.The work can be physically demanding and will entail periods working outdoors, in all weather conditions.
LocationThe role is based at Niab Park Farm, Histon,Cambridge, CB24 9NZ, 4 miles from Cambridge city centre. Free on-site parking and linked by cycle ways and regular buses to Cambridge city centre and railway station. Close to Junction 32 of A14, with easy access to M11, A10 and A11.

ssential Requirements:- A levels or equivalent qualifications/experience
- An interest in agriculture, horticulture, plant sciences and be willing to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols.
- Good communications skills, both verbally and written and able to work as part of a team.
- Microsoft office e.g. Word and Excel.
Desirable Requirement:- PA1, PA6 and Telehandler
- Previous experience of protected environment agriculture
- A full UK driving licence is essential for travel to our site in East Malling Kent. Transport can be provided.
