GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The H2A Housing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, preparing and assuring that all set up is complete and/or ready for participants’ arrival. Oversee the day-to-day operations/activities of the housing/living quarters to include sanitations, safety, meals and wellbeing of the participants. Report any unsafe conditions, violations of policies, perform daily inspections and complete daily documentation (disciplinary action if needed).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas and grounds for cleanliness, appearance and adherence with housing policies.
- Answer inquiries pertaining to housing policies and services and resolve complaints.
- Monitor activity of the hotel or facility.
- Train staff members.
- Keep inventory of housing material and supplies.
- Prepare housing for H2A employees’ arrival under OSHA/EDD standards and specifications.
- Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures are being followed.
- Transport employees as needed.
- Transport materials (beds, mattress, pillows, etc.)
- Issue action logs as appropriate to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage and maintain temporary and/or permanent lodging facilities.
- Ensure housing is inspection ready in adherence to governmental regulations.
- Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions.
- Confer and cooperate with other managers to ensure coordination of housing/FS activities.
- Assign accommodations accordingly.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operations of the establishments.
- Purchase supplies and arrange for outside services, such as deliveries, laundry, maintenance and repair.
- Research, develop and manage food service vendors and menus.
- Effectively manage assets (i.e. beds) and deploy to multiple locations.
- Maintain all aspects of housing and food services assigned.
- Set up and take down all required housing furniture.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned staff. Carries-out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred, or 2-3 years experience in facilities repairs and maintenance and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Read, write and speak Spanish. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid driver’s license and must be insurable Able to obtain and maintain valid CPR & First Aid Certification Able to obtain and maintain FLCE Certificate Able to obtain and maintain valid medical certification
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to use spreadsheets and email Able to operate general office equipment, such as copiers, scanners and printers Able to resolve issues as they arise and apply a plan of action Able to work well under pressure and adapt to last minute changes
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Reliability – The trait of being dependable and trustworthy Must be able to travel to housing locations and/or States for long periods of time Must have good interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule Must be able to work a 10/60 hour schedule
