Full TimeCafe 389 Woody Point is a well-established waterfront café and dining destination located on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Known for our quality food, vibrant atmosphere and exceptional service, we are currently seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our passionate kitchen team.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated chef who is passionate about food and hospitality to work in a fast-paced and professional kitchen environment. Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes within your section
• Ensuring food preparation and kitchen operations meet health and hygiene standards
• Maintaining HACCP and food safety compliance
• Contributing to menu development and cost measurement
• Monitoring portion control and reducing food waste
• Supporting junior kitchen staff and maintaining smooth kitchen operations
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service

Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen
• Qualification in Commercial Cookery, Kitchen management or related fields
• Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques and kitchen operations
• Good understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Salary $77,000 – $87,000 per year plus superannuationFinal remuneration will be determined based on experience and skills and will meet Australian market salary standards. What We Offer
