Position Overview We are seeking for a Benefits Specialist who is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about employee benefits and HR operations. In this role, you will administer employee benefit programs, assist employees with benefit-related questions, coordinate enrollments and eligibility, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Employment Details Hiring Entity: Chubby Group Work Location: Hybrid/Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: Annual Salary: $50,000 – $70,000 (based on experience and qualifications), subject to applicable federal, state, and local tax withholding. Additional performance-based bonuses may apply. Benefit Eligibility: Yes Start Date: Upon onboarding completion, all required pre-employment notices and documents will be provided at or before the start date, as required by law.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, eligibility updates, qualifying life events, and benefit terminations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and provide timely, professional support.
- Maintain accurate benefits records and employee information within HR systems.
- Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and employee records.
- Work with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party vendors to resolve benefit-related issues.
- Assist with annual open enrollment planning, employee communications, and benefits education.
- Monitor benefit eligibility and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare benefits reports and maintain organized documentation using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Identify opportunities to improve benefits administration processes and employee experience.
- Occasionally travel to company locations to support HR initiatives, employee meetings, or new store openings when needed.
Qualifications

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
- High sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (OPT/H1B sponsorship available).
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Payroll, or employee services preferred.
- Experience using HRIS platforms such as Gusto or similar HR management systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with employee benefits administration, insurance enrollment, payroll deductions, and HR compliance is a plus.
- Experience supporting multi-location or hospitality operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, FMLA, or other employee benefits regulations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin are a plus.
