System Architect (Azure, Microservices, C# .NET Core, React JS) – 3-Month Contract

Position Overview:As a System Architect, you will be instrumental in designing the structure and architecture of our cloud-based applications, utilising Azure, Microservices, C# .NET Core, and React JS. You will work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration between backend and frontend systems, aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will define system architecture standards, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.Key Responsibilities:

• System Architecture and Design

· Develop comprehensive architecture for scalable, secure cloud-based applications leveraging Azure and microservice architecture.· Ensure the integration of microservices, search infrastructure, and cloud services aligns with business requirements.· Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

• Database Design and Implementation

· Design and optimise microservice solutions (e.g., SQLite, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Table Storage, Azure Data Lake Gen2) for performance and reliability.· Implement best practices for data modelling, indexing, and access.

• RESTful APIs

· Develop and optimise RESTful APIs using C# .NET Core to support a high-performance, distributed architecture.

• Search Infrastructure

· Architect Elasticsearch solutions for fast, reliable search capabilities.· Monitor and optimise Elasticsearch clusters for indexing and query performance.

• Frontend and Backend Integration

· Collaborate with frontend teams using React to ensure seamless integration with backend systems.· Define APIs and data flows between services.

• Azure Cloud Solutions

· Leverage Azure services (e.g., App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions) for scalable application deployment.· Implement security best practices, including identity and access management on Azure.

• System Optimisation and Maintenance

· Conduct performance tuning and scalability assessments.· Establish monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure system reliability.· Define system architecture guidelines and best practices to ensure the maintainability and scalability of systems.

• Leadership and Collaboration

· Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams.· Engage stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.Required Skills and Experience:· Microservices: Strong expertise in designing and managing microservice solutions.· Elasticsearch: Proven experience in managing and optimising Elasticsearch clusters.· React: Proficiency in integrating frontend applications with React.· Azure: Hands-on experience with Azure services, including App Services, Azure DevOps, and Azure Functions.· Programming: Proficiency in backend programming languages such as JavaScript/Node.js or C#.· API Design: Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.· CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines, particularly within Azure.Preferred Qualifications:· Proven experience as a System Architect or in a similar technical leadership role.· Experience with containerisation tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).· Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.· Familiarity with advanced data security and compliance requirements.· Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data management strategies.· Experience with serverless architectures and microservices deployment in the cloud.· Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are an advantage. Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 3 monthsPay: $150,000.00 – $185,000.00 per yearBenefits:
