Laundry Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our laundry facilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that all linen and laundry items are processed efficiently, contributing to the overall guest experience. Previous hotel experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment with a focus on attention to detail and high standards of hygiene. This job also will require the candidate to have alteration skills. Duties

• Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and folding machines safely and efficiently.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linen and guest items according to established standards.
• Ensure all laundry is handled with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels of detergents and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as required to support the overall cleanliness of the premises.
• Alterations and sewing skills is a huge plus.

Experience

• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with laundry machinery and processes is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy environment.
