Buon Appetit is a busy family-owned Italian restaurant in Camden, NSW, known for handmade Italian food, high-quality ingredients, and a fast-paced service environment.We are looking for an experienced Wood Fire Pizza Chef to join our team. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. About the RoleWe are looking for someone who has strong experience working with traditional wood fire pizza, preferably Napoletana-style pizza. Our kitchen is fast-paced and busy, with high customer numbers, especially on weekends, so quality, speed, consistency and organisation are essential.This role would suit someone who takes pride in their craft, understands dough, fermentation, stretching, cooking, and service flow, and wants to grow with a family-owned business. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and stretch high-hydration pizza dough
- Cook pizzas in a wood fire oven only — no gas oven
- Maintain consistent Napoletana-style pizza quality
- Work quickly and cleanly during busy service
- Manage prep, toppings, dough, and section setup
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Work well with the kitchen and floor team
- Follow directions from management and senior staff
- Help maintain the high standards of Buon Appetit What We Are Looking For- Experience as a pizza chef or pizzaiolo (min 4 years)
- Experience with wood fire ovens is essential (no gas here)
- Understanding of Napoletana-style pizza preferred
- Experience with high-hydration dough preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Reliable, clean, organised and professional
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work nights and weekends
