Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Engineer with a strong background in
heavy industrial environments to support plant construction, equipment commissioning, and ongoing electrical maintenance operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a balanced background in
electrical maintenance (60%) and controls/automation (40%), including
PLC programming, motor drives, high-voltage systems, and industrial automation.
Initially, the engineer will join the
project team responsible for building construction and equipment installation, followed by transition into the
operational maintenance team once plant production begins (estimated September 2026).
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and equipment
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley / Rockwell / Siemens)
- Configure and maintain motor drives and VFD systems
- Support HMI and SCADA systems for plant operations
- Read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and drawings
- Maintain and troubleshoot 480V+ high-voltage electrical systems (4160V preferred)
- Implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and confined space procedures
- Assist with installation and commissioning of imported industrial equipment
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments including operations and engineering teams
- Support equipment upgrades and process improvements to reduce bottlenecks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–7 years total experience preferred
- Minimum 3+ years in a heavy industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation and electrical maintenance
- Ability to independently work with electrical schematics and drawings
