Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Corporate M&A solicitor to join a progressive, mid-market corporate law firm delivering high-quality transactional work in a sustainable and people-focused environment. The team is expanding with two new corporate associate hires and is known for embracing modern legal technology to enhance, not intensify, legal practice.
Responsibilities
  • Advise on a broad range of private M&A transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, investments and restructurings.
  • Draft and negotiate core transaction documents, including SPAs, investment agreements and ancillary documentation.
  • Take a substantive role on multiple live transactions, with real ownership appropriate to PQE level.
  • Work closely with partners throughout the full deal lifecycle, from structuring through to completion.
  • Actively use and develop capability in AI-enabled legal tools and transaction technology as part of day-to-day M&A work.

Why Join This Team?
  • A growing corporate law team with a strong private M&A focus and consistent deal flow.
  • Mid-market deal values (typically €15m–€25m), allowing genuine client exposure and influence as an M&A solicitor.
  • A genuinely sustainable working culture where output and quality matter more than presenteeism.
  • A progressive approach to legal practice, with structured training in AI and next-generation legal technology to support efficiency and career development.
  • 1,200 target hours, including credit for non-billable innovation and technology training.
  • Market-leading salary aligned with top Irish firms, plus a 20–30% bonus.
  • Flexible hybrid working based on trust rather than rigid policies.
  • A meritocratic environment with a realistic and transparent pathway to partnership.

Candidate Profile
  • Ideally 3–4 years’ PQE as an M&A solicitor or corporate solicitor, gained in Ireland, the UK or another common law jurisdiction. Exceptional candidates at 2 PQE or up to 5 PQE will also be considered. Visa sponsorship can be supported where required for candidates with relevant experience gained with large or mid-sized firms in other common law jurisdictions.
  • Strong experience advising on private M&A and corporate transactions.
  • Commercial, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility on live deals.
  • Curious, adaptable and open to integrating AI and legal technology into everyday practice (prior experience not required).
