Job Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to support the safe and effective administration of medications, contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of our patients. DutiesAccurately dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals as needed.
- Provide patient care by offering guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions in accordance with pharmacy protocols.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to manage inventory levels, ensuring that medications are stocked and properly stored.
- Conduct regular checks on expired or unused medications, facilitating their safe disposal as per regulations.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- QualificationsPrevious experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medication administration processes and patient care principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times.
