An Exciting Leadership Opportunity to Work in a Collaborative Environment We are seeking a motivated and skilled Specialist Surgeon to join our team as Head of Department and playing a leading role in shaping the future of veterinary surgery in Sydney. At SVES, we pride ourselves on creating a supportive, collegial work culture with a shared commitment to continuous learning. You will have access to top-tier tools including Synthes and Orthomed plating, and orthopaedic equipment E-Pen Neuro Burr, Biomedtrix THR systems, and I-Loc Interlocking Nail System.
Our new Head of Department will have full accountability for - Setting the vision and roadmap for the Surgery service & team
- Managing the surgical caseload in conjunction with the surgical team
- Collaborating with Specialists across other departments to provide patients and clients with the best care outcomes
- Providing mentoring and guidance to interns
- Offering orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurologic, and emergency surgeries (as required)
- Promoting and upholding the core values of VetPartners, fostering a collaborative and cooperative culture across all services.
What We’re Looking For We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified Small Animal Specialist Surgeon who has achieved diplomate or equivalent status (ACVS/ECVS/FANZCVS) and is eligible for Specialist Registration with the Australian Veterinary Board Council.
