About the roleKings Beach Surf Club is seeking an experienced
Chef to join our team at our picturesque beachfront location in Kings Beach, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued members and guests.
What you'll be doing- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items
- Ensure all food preparation and cooking adheres to health and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Mentor and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Contribute to the overall success and positive reputation of the Kings Beach Surf Club
What we're looking for- Relevant formal culinary qualification or equivalent industry experience
- Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery or equivalent qualification is required
- Proven expertise in a similar Chef or sous chef role, ideally within the hospitality & tourism industry
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Chef or sous chef position is required
- Exceptional cooking skills and a passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
- Australian work rights are not required as visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates
