Swine Technician

We have an 800 head sow barn located near Mitchell, Ontario and we are looking for a Swine Technician who believes in team work.We are looking for a Swine Technician for farrowing/breeding who will be a team player, self-starter and have good organizational skills. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: assisting with supervising farrowing, ability to handle all aspects of the farrowing barn such as midwifery, fostering, processing, vaccinating, herd health and weaning, assisting with supervising the breeding area, ability to handle all aspects of the breeding barn such as performing AI. herd health, feeding sows, vaccinating, and ultrasound, also able to keep accurate records and possess a good affinity to animals. The barn is equiped with a Nedap system. Minimum 2 years experience and a valid driver's license required.The starting pay is $20/hour (depending on experience), vacation entitlement, and bonus potential. The work schedule is a 3 week rotation, working 15 out of 21 days. Working every 3rd weekend (with 2 week days off when you work the weekend) in the 3 week rotation. Our work hours are 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:
