Job OverviewUltramax Batteries Ltd is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing & Sales Manager specialising in Battery Technology to support and lead key commercial initiatives as we expand our lithium battery product portfolio.The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, managing important customer relationships, and supporting the launch of new lithium battery products. This role requires someone with both commercial drive and technical understanding of batteries or electrical systems, capable of working closely with engineering teams, senior leadership, and international customers.This is an exciting opportunity to influence product positioning, market expansion, and innovation in sustainable energy solutions, particularly across European and Indian markets.Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies focused on lithium battery technologies and energy storage solutions.
- Support and coordinate the launch of new lithium battery products into domestic and international markets.
- Act as a bridge between sales, marketing, and engineering/R&D teams to ensure customer needs are translated into product development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with B2B customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations for potential customers and partners.
- Work closely with the Managing Director and CTO to support business development and strategic initiatives.
- Assist with product line management and positioning for lithium battery solutions.
- Analyse sales data and market feedback to produce reports and strategic recommendations for leadership.
- Support participation in industry exhibitions, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Identify and assist with applications for government grants and innovation funding in the UK, EU, and USA (desirable but not essential).
- Support expansion of business activities in European and Indian markets.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, or product management.
- Technical knowledge of battery systems, lithium batteries, or electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong background in B2B sales and customer relationship management.
- Experience conducting market research and analysing sales and industry data.
- Excellent communication, networking, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products to commercial audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and leadership.
- Comfortable working closely with senior management including the Managing Director and CTO.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems is beneficial.
- Experience working with EU or international markets is advantageous.
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per yearBenefits:
