OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant or hotel experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involes supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained and fostering a positive team environment to achieve operational excellence.Duties
- Lead and supervise the restaurant or hotel team, including front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Manage food safety protocols in accordance with industry regulations
- Coordinate food production processes to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
- Monitor service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and handle any complaints professionally
- Organise staff schedules, training sessions, and performance appraisals
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and service areas
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times
- Assist in developing menus or service offerings as needed, incorporating culinary expertise
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Extensive culinary experience, including food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with staff and customers alike
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food safety regulations and culinary techniques
