The Role:We are seeking interest from suitably qualified Consultants/Specialists – Emergency Medicine Physicians to provide specialist emergency services to adult and paediatric patients.
You will be joining a dedicated Emergency Medicine Department in a 550-bed tertiary referral Hospital, $689-million-dollar redevelopment – state of the art health facility!! Fixed term full-time and part-time positions available. Day work (with on-call) work pattern, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: - Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle (subject to working full-time hours) OR allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $28,389 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).
- Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,480 pro rata per annum.
- Relocation allowance.
- On call allowance % of Base Salary.
- All other allowances as per current Award.
- And subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of Base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.

- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway OR
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.

Essential RequirementsApplicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA or New Zealand.
