Job Title: Chemical Engineer
Location: Boise, ID (Partially Remote)
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Authorization: Open to U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, OPT/EAD, H1B, and TN Visa holders
Work Schedule: Onsite 50% of the first month, then 1 week/month onsite thereafter
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Overtime: As needed About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineer to support complex facility and tool installations for manufacturing environments. This is a 12-month contract role with a mix of remote and onsite work. The successful candidate will support design and construction efforts related to process piping, chemicals, ultrapure water, and cleanroom systems in one of the most advanced semiconductor environments in the world.This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with client owners and cross-discipline teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-tech industrial setting. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with client owners to develop and interpret design requirements
  • Create and review construction documentation for installation of complex manufacturing tools and mechanical systems
  • Design and oversee process systems including ultrapure water, chemical and gas distribution, wastewater, exhaust, and process piping
  • Perform engineering calculations, system/component sizing, and equipment specifications
  • Edit and apply client specifications to construction documents
  • Review and respond to submittals, RFIs, P&IDs, layout drawings, and equipment plans
  • Provide construction phase support and coordinate systems integration into facilities

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in chemical facilities engineering
  • At least 5 years of design project delivery experience
  • Minimum 2 years working with semiconductor manufacturing tools, including installation or cleanroom operations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong passion for building systems, construction, and engineering excellence
  • Minimum 3 years of field experience
  • EIT or PE license required

Preferred Experience Includes:
  • Experience with complex semiconductor, industrial, or cleanroom environments
  • Strong familiarity with engineering review processes, submittals, RFIs, and equipment integration
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional design team
