Sullivan Construction is a small, owner-operated carpentry and construction business specializing in residential renovations, extensions, framing, modular buildings, decks, roofing, home maintenance. Due to a growing workload and ongoing projects across the Northern Rivers of NSW, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team.
About the Role We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to work full time across varied residential and/or commercial job sites. The successful applicant will work independently and perform a wide range of carpentry tasks in line with industry standards and Australian building codes.
Key Duties Include: - Reading and interpreting building plans
- Constructing and installing wall frames, floors, ceilings, and roofing structures
- Installing doors, windows, mouldings, skirting boards, and fixtures
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling timber and other building materials
- Setting out and constructing formwork for concrete structures
- Measuring and marking materials accurately
- Using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry machinery safely
- Ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with WHS regulations
- Working independently on job sites as required
Skills & Experience Required: - Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant carpentry experience
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Strong understanding of Australian building standards and practices
- Competence in using carpentry tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Current driver’s license + Car
Salary & Conditions - Salary: $73,150 – $85,000 + superannuation
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Overtime available as required
- All terms and conditions comply with the Building and Construction General On-Site Award 2020
