Job Description:
Permanent (Full Time) Pay Rate: $108,000 - $176,000/Yearly. competitive salary range based on experience and training (to be discussed at interview). Candidates who applied directly with Client will be rejected, No need to re-apply. Summary:
  • Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department.
  • Along with participating in treatment procedures, the Medical Physicist will participate in patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, plan checks, and any additional support needed by our Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists and therapists.
  • Team includes 2 Physicists, 2 Dosimetrists, 8 Radiation Therapists, 3 RNs, 2 Office Secretaries, 1 Billing and Coding Coordinator, 1 Social Worker, and 1 Office Manager.
  • On average, approximately 35 patients are treated daily on 2 machines. The team works closely with our colleagues from our growing Medical Oncology group and interdisciplinary team.
  • Working with the Chief of Physics, the successful candidate will have the skills in calibration and commissioning of linear accelerators and other radiation sources, perform quality assurance of equipment and treatment plans, and implementing new technologies as needed.

Submission Requirements
  • MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences Required
  • US Board Eligible (with plans to become Board Certified) or Board Certified in Medical Physics by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) Required
  • Must be or be willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist Required
  • Clean Malpracticehistory Required
  • Does the provider require visa support - J1 or H1B? Required

State License Requirements
  • Iowa State License
