Saturday Pharmacist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Saturday pharmacist to join our healthcare team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide vital patient care within a dynamic pharmacy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, offering expert advice, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. The position is ideal for pharmacists committed to delivering exceptional service on weekends, supporting continuity of care for our patients. Duties:

• Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
• Monitor patient medication histories and ensure appropriate medication management
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance workflow
• Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
• Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and ordering supplies as needed
• Support patient care initiatives by participating in health promotion activities and medication reviews

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) or equivalent regulatory body
• Proven experience working in a community pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of PGDs, OTC experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance to patients and healthcare colleagues
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety standards
• Ability to work independently on Saturdays, demonstrating organisation and attention to detail
• Prior experience in a community pharmacy environment is preferred but not essential
