Job duties include performing routine agricultural tasks directly related to crop production throughout the planting, growing, and harvest cycle. Workers will participate in seeding and spring field work, including preparing fields and assisting with planting activities. During the growing season, duties include crop care activities such as spraying and related field operations. During harvest, workers will assist with harvesting operations to ensure timely and efficient crop removal. Workers will operate agricultural equipment customarily used on a grain farm, including tractors and other farm machinery, in support of planting, spraying, and harvesting activities. Duties also include general farm and equipment maintenance related to daily agricultural operations, such as routine upkeep, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment and work areas in proper working condition. All work is performed on the employer’s farm and is directly tied to seasonal crop production needs. Tasks vary based on weather conditions and seasonal demands but remain focused on crop farming operations and the efficient production of grain crops throughout the period of intended employment. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Skill Level II Experienced LevelPursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
