Restaurant Manager

Dabbawal Jesmond is looking for a charismatic and driven Restaurant Manager to lead our busy, vibrant Indian street food restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality, thrives on building relationships, and knows how to turn first-time guests into loyal regulars.We need a natural host — someone who brings energy to the floor, builds strong community connections, inspires their team, and drives revenue through repeat business and local engagement.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of a high-volume restaurant
• Build relationships with loyal guests and ensure new guests return
• Develop partnerships with local businesses and the Jesmond community to drive footfall and revenue
• Create a positive, motivated team culture and boost morale through strong leadership
• Train, coach and develop a high-performing team
• Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest feedback professionally
• Drive sales, monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for growth
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
• Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, service and atmosphere

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or strong Assistant Manager ready to step up
• Charismatic leadership style with the ability to engage guests and inspire teams
• Strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations
• Commercial awareness with experience driving sales and managing costs
• Excellent understanding of food safety regulations
• Experience in community engagement or local business networking is highly desirable
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
