Heavy Vehicle & Truck mechanic

We are a well-established private transport company with our own dedicated maintenance yard in Casuarina. Our fleet of trucks and heavy vehicles keeps Western Australia moving, and we’re looking for a skilled, reliable Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our growing team and take ownership of keeping our trucks in top condition.About the RoleThis is a hands-on workshop-based position in equipped, modern private yard. You will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing, maintenance, and repair of our own transport fleet – no customer work, no external jobs, just our own vehicles in a clean, organised environment.As the workload and team expand, there is clear potential to grow into a Senior Mechanic / Workshop Leading Hand role with increased responsibility and higher pay.What You’ll Be Doing

• Scheduled servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of trucks and heavy vehicles
• Fault finding, brake work, suspension, hydraulics, and general mechanical maintenance
• Minor body repairs as required
• Emergency call-outs (paid at overtime rates) when needed outside normal hours
• Keeping accurate service records and using our workshop management system

What We Offer

• Competitive hourly rate of $45 – $55 per hour (depending on experience) + 11.5% super
• Stable Monday to Friday roster (no weekends, no FIFO)

What You’ll Need

• Proven experience as a truck / heavy vehicle / diesel mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• HR licence (highly regarded) and own basic hand tools
• Reliable, safety-focused attitude and a strong work ethic
