MYP Coordinator(Middle Years Programme Coordinator)Lahore, Pakistan£44,537 - £53,444Purpose of the Role The MYP Coordinator provides academic leadership and ensures the effective implementation of the Middle Years Programme. Working closely with the Head of School and other programme coordinators, the MYP Coordinator acts as the pedagogical leader, fostering collaborative planning, inquiry-based learning, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities The role requires day-to-day operational tasks such as timetabling oversight, student progress tracking, and managing IB systems (like ManageBac), in addition to leadership and strategy. Leadership & Strategy · Serve as the pedagogical leader for the MYP across the Campus. · Align the MYP with the school’s mission, vision, and learner profile. · Promote international-mindedness and student agency across the programme. · Collaborate with PYP and DP Coordinators to ensure smooth transitions across programmes. · Lead programme reviews, policy updates, and IB evaluations, focusing on student achievement, well-being, and learner outcomes. Programme Implementation · Ensure MYP curriculum planning, assessment, and teaching align with IB standards. · Oversee the development and review of curriculum documents, scope and sequence, and policies. · Support subject selection, timetabling, and alignment with national curriculum requirements (SNC). · Strengthen inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary approaches. Staff Development & Support · Facilitate professional development opportunities for IB staff. · Guide teachers in unit planning, assessment strategies, and the Personal Project. · Maintain records of training and ensure equitable opportunities for all staff. · Support collaborative planning and knowledge-sharing across campuses. Communication & Community Engagement · Act as liaison between the school and the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). · Share IB updates and documentation with staff to ensure compliance. · Conduct parent information sessions and contribute to school communications. · Represent the school in IB networks, conferences, and inter-school collaborations. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will: · Have IB MYP Coordinator training/certification, teaching experience in at least two MYP subject groups, and a master’s degree (preferred). · Have strong experience with the IB MYP framework. · Be a reflective practitioner and collaborative leader. · Demonstrate expertise in inquiry-based and student-centered learning. · Possess excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
