Senior Recruitment Consultant, US Engineering (Permanent) Location: Manchester (Hybrid, 3 days office / 2 days from home) The big one: Funded relocation to Austin, Texas in February 2027 Want to build a recruitment career that ends with you living and billing in the United States? About the business You would be joining a specialist engineering recruitment business that has scaled quickly and is now expanding into the US. The team turned over £1.5m with just five heads in 2025 and has already grown to seven in the first half of 2026. The three year plan from 2027 targets 30 people in the US entity and £10m in GP, so you are getting in early on something with real momentum. The desk This is an established permanent desk recruiting into high growth US engineering markets, including building automation across the North East, Texas and the Mid-Atlantic, plus industrial automation in Texas. Several of these are warm markets with existing client relationships, so you are not starting from a cold base. You will headhunt proactively, build long term client partnerships and own your patch end to end. Quality over quantity is the standard here, not a high volume churn. What you will need At least 2 years of recruitment experience. This is essential, as it is the minimum required to qualify for E2 visa sponsorship to relocate to the US. Consistent year on year billings. They want a track record you can stand behind. A genuine BD focus. This is a desk for a business builder, not a delivery seat. You do NOT need to have recruited into engineering before. They have taken people from completely different recruitment backgrounds (tech, HR, education, medical and more) and trained them into the market with real success. If you can recruit and you can win business, they will teach you the vertical. What is on offer Basic salary aligned to your experience: Senior Consultant from £32,000, Principal from £36,500, Senior Principal from £45,500, Executive Principal from £50,000. A commission structure that starts at 10% and climbs through 20%, 30% and 40% as you bill more. Real earning potential. First year consultants here have taken home £75,000 to £80,000, and the top billers are on track for around £200,000 in 2026. 23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, rising annually toward 30 days, plus your birthday off. Guarantees available for experienced recruiters (3, 6 or 12 months) to protect you while you ramp. The relocation Hybrid working from the Manchester office, 3 days in and 2 from home, with the clear expectation of relocating to Austin in 2027. A funded, structured move to Austin, Texas in February 2027 via E2 visa sponsorship. US healthcare with the company contributing between 50% and 100% depending on level.
