Role Overview: Lutsen Mountain’s is looking for line cook to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes. In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that provide a great experience for our guests.
Responsibilities: - Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Cover dishwashing shifts as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications: - 16+ years of age required
- A minimum of 3 months experience in a similar role is required
- Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Aptitude for multi-tasking
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
- Willingness to work at peak hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and weekends

- Job Title: Restaurant Helpers
- Job Description: Will perform simple food preparation duties such as chopping, slicing, seasoning and packaging meats and vegetables. Bus tables. Wash dishes. Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen area. Run simple foods to tables such as coffee, water and condiments, and assist servers and bartenders with restocking items, communicating with back-of-house, and simple cleaning tasks using handheld tools.
- Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm, 10:00am to 5:00pm, or 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
- Other Details: On-the-job training will be provided. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government (excluding passport fees).Daily transportation to and from work, plus regular transportation for local errands and trips to Duluth is provided at no extra cost to those living in employee housing. A single workweek will be the standard for computing wages due, and employees are paid every two weeks. All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made, in addition to deductions related to employee housing noted above. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first work week. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
