About the role:    

We are  seeking  to hire a full time, permanent Financial Services Tax Director to join our leading tax practice. You would be joining a team of tax professionals focussed on delivering high quality corporate tax compliance services. As a  Director  you will support the existing team in building compliance business for the firm, leading and delivering compliance services and developing and managing teams while also helping to  leverage  technology to enhance efficiencies for our cl ients.  

 

What you  will do :  

As Director,   you will play a key role in the ongoing operation and coordination of our compliance business with an emphasis on providing high quality corporate tax compliance services, relationship  management  and process excellence.   

 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:  
  • Lead a highvalue financial services client portfolio — Oversee a diverse and strategically important set of financial services clients, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality corporate tax compliance and support. 

  • Drive operational excellence — Manage and optimise the end‑to‑end compliance process, ensuring efficient resource allocation, consistent quality, and full utilisation of the firm’s technology platforms. 

  • Shape the compliance strategy — Contribute to the design and execution of the firm’s long‑term corporate tax compliance vision, including innovation, digital transformation, and service model evolution. 

  • Own portfolio performance — Take responsibility for financial management, risk oversight, and commercial performance across your client base. 

  • Champion digital transformation — Embed automation, data analytics, and emerging technologies into compliance workflows to enhance accuracy, scalability, and client value. 

  • Lead and inspire teams — Motivate, coach, and develop tax professionals, creating an environment where people grow, perform, and deliver exceptional results. 

  • Build future talent — Play an active role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, contributing to a strong and diverse leadership pipeline. 

  • Grow the business — Support business development initiatives, lead proposal responses, and identify opportunities to expand compliance services with existing and prospective clients. 

  • Bring insight and innovation — Apply deep industry knowledge and forward‑thinking perspectives to help clients navigate regulatory change, manage risk, and unlock value. 

Who we are looking for :   
  • You are AITI / CTA qualified (or equivalent). 

  • You have at least 10 years’ tax experience. 

  • You have the ability to plan, organise and manage the timely delivery of tax compliance services for a portfolio of FS clients with particular focus on aviation  

  • You have strong leadership skills and a proven record in building a team with the capacity and capability to deliver.  

  • You have excellent delegation skills and the ability to manage and develop junior members of the team. 

  • Your organisation and planning capabilities are strong, and you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • You have excellent relationship management skills. 

  • You have a strong commercial awareness.
