Employer: Greenview Farms Pty LtdEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentLocation: Mataranka, Northern TerritorySalary: AUD $120,000 – $150,000 base salary plus superannuation (11.5%)Email for Applications: [email protected] Job SummaryGreenview Farms Pty Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Agricultural Operations Manager (Post-Harvest) to manage its large-scale packing operations and support general business administration. This critical year-round role will ensure peak-season throughput of 130,000 – 170,000 tonnes of produce while maintaining compliance, team leadership, and strategic oversight. Key ResponsibilitiesHarvest Season (May to November):
  • Lead and manage the efficient packing and distribution of commercial melon crops, including the operation of shed infrastructure, grading systems, and cool chain requirements.
  • Supervise and direct seasonal shed teams including QA staff, forklift drivers, and administration.
  • Ensure compliance with Freshcare, HACCP, and export-quality systems.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers for inbound and outbound produce movements.
  • Maintain real-time traceability and accurate packing documentation.
  • Liaise with the farm team to align packing schedules with harvest flow and market needs.

Off-Season (December to April):
  • Oversee business administration tasks such as scheduling, compliance filing, and procurement.
  • Lead seasonal budget planning and performance reporting.
  • Conduct operational reviews to identify process improvements and plan for upgrades or training.

 Skills & Experience Required
  • At least 5 years of experience in large-scale post-harvest or horticultural operations.
  • Strong team leadership and hands-on operational management skills.
  • Understanding of QA systems (Freshcare/HACCP) for melon or fresh produce handling.
  • Experience with inventory, grading, cold chain and traceability systems.
  • Strong computer literacy (Excel, inventory software).
  • Formal qualifications in Agriculture, Agribusiness or Supply Chain (preferred).

  • Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) 482 Visa, and
  • Northern Territory Designated Area Migration Agreement (NT DAMA) under ANZSCO 121213 (Fruit or Nut Grower) or 070499 (Agricultural Technician).
