Business Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex business processes, developing data-driven solutions, and supporting project management initiatives. A strong background in data analysis, database design, and project management is essential, alongside proficiency in key tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, and SQL. Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications using tools like Visio and SDLC methodologies.
• Develop comprehensive reports and visualisations using Tableau, Power BI, and other data analysis tools to support decision-making processes.
• Design and optimise database structures in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and utilise VBA or Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automation tasks.
• Conduct data analysis using R, Python, SQL, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Support project management activities including planning, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of deliverables.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop database designs that meet business needs while maintaining data integrity and security standards.
• Assist in the development of business cases by providing detailed analysis and modelling to support strategic initiatives.
• Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring best practices are followed throughout project execution.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements and expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within a data-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, SQL (including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server), VBA, Bash (Unix shell), Visio, and database design principles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC methodologies and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
• Experience in business analysis including process mapping and requirements gathering.
• Familiarity with data visualisation techniques and reporting tools to communicate insights clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Pay: £27,223.00-£66,566.00 per yearBenefits:
