SPEECH PATHOLOGIST - overseas applications encouraged (VISA SPONSORED)Are you a Speech Pathologist wanting to work with children and families and genuinely support families? Do you want to live and work near the beach in beautiful Busselton, Western Australia? Child Matters | Teen Matters is looking for dedicated and motivated Speech Pathologists to join our thriving neuro-affirming practice. We have incredible clients and a wonderful allied health team. You must have a keen interest in working with children, teens and families. Unlike many other providers, we have a physical workplace with collegial support. We have a new therapy gym, a gorgeous newly renovated home style clinic with garden and resident chickens.REGION: Busselton is a beautiful beachside regional town of approximately 36000 people. It is large enough to have many opportunities for hobbies, sports and recreation and is the gateway to the Margaret River surfing and wine region (30 mins by car). Busselton is a very popular tourist destination but also has a real sense of community. Still close enough to travel to Perth easily (2.5hrs by car) it is the ideal location for a beachside lifestyle and also wonderful for families with excellent schools and nature experiences on our doorstep.Child Matters | Teen Matters is a small multidisciplinary service that focuses on children and teens with developmental concerns. We are a NDIS provider and are based in the beautiful beach-side town of Busselton, Western Australia. We have an established reputation for providing excellence in service from dedicated professionals. We provide services to families from the greater South West area and offer additional home and school-based services.Child Matters | Teen Matters works hard for our clients. We go above and beyond with our care and service to families in an effort to support families and help facilitate real and lasting change. We also look after our staff and are keen to attract a candidate who is willing to make the south west their home.Child Matters | Teen Matters has a vibrant team and a family friendly practice. We provide clinical psychology, psychology, speech pathology, family support and occupational therapy services as well as diagnostic services and social groups. You would work alongside our current team and have a varied caseload. Our team is collaborative and you will learn a great deal from the other disciplines as well as sharing your skills with us. Ongoing supervision and support is provided.You will be trained in child and adolescent team autism assessments.Experience in autism is preferred. If there is an area of interest or specialty that you would like to provide in the practice this can be negotiated. New graduates are welcome to apply.A full or part time position will be created for the right applicant as a permanent role. This position can be tailored to both experienced and recent graduates . Essential criteria are:1. Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) and certified member of Speech Pathology Australia or ability to register with assistance.2. Experience in or strong interest in autism and similar disabilities3. Excellent assessment and intervention skills4. Demonstrated skills in evidence-based interventions5. Excellent oral and written communication skills6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team7. Working with children card8. Professional Indemnity Insurance9.
