Responsibilities- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and excellence in taste and presentation
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen controls
- Train and mentor junior staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge
- Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times
- Assist in menu planning, development, and innovation to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment
Qualifications- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with effective team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
