Ciao! La Bella Italia is an iconic Wellington destination of 26+ years standing, we pride ourselves in giving our customers an authentic Italian experience. Calling all versatile, energetic team players to work in our busy restaurant / café / shop / deli, located on Petone foreshore. There’s never a dull moment – one day you could be serving gelato or selling cheese, the next preparing coffee or taking orders from our a la carte menu! We are looking for experienced hospitality-retail staff who can apply their existing skills to the role and take on a degree of responsibility. • Front of House team members (wait staff / barista / deli-assistant / bartender). • Develop your existing knowledge of Italian cuisine, products and culture and communicate this with staff and customers. • Adhere to La Bella Italia standards, set up and close-down procedures. • Prepare café / restaurant for service, re-set, re-stock and replenish as required. • Proven familiarity with till and booking systems. • Ability to respond to enquiries and take bookings • Assist with making front of house roster. • Assist with training new staff. • Ability to deal with complaints professionally. Terms & conditions in conjunction with the Restaurant Association of New Zealand Employment Agreement 2024 (For those hired on an Accredited Employer Work Visa are exempt from the 90 day trail clause.) Training / uniforms / meal per shift provided. Number of positions available: 4 Permanent. From $25 per hour up to $35 per hour depending on skills, experience and other requirements. Minimum hours of work per week: 30 (part-time) up to 40 hours p/w (full-time) Weekly remuneration cycle. We are open six days, four nights per week (closed Monday’s) rotating roster, includes weekend shifts.
