Staff Site Reliability Engineer Confidential | Sydney or Singapore | Global Options Available
Experienced hire only. This is not an entry point role.
A tier-one HFT firm is seeking a Staff SRE to work alongside some of the best engineers in the industry — driving reliability, performance, and operability of a high-performance, latency-sensitive production environment as part of a team.
There's nowhere to hide in HFT. Everyone is technical, everyone is an IC, and the bar is genuinely high. You'll work directly with quant and trading teams and contribute at a level that moves the needle.
The right person is genuinely curious — someone who wants to operate at the absolute top of their game. The compensation is exceptional, but if that's your primary motivation, this probably isn't the right role. What you'll be exposed to, and what you'll learn, is the real drawcard.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱
→ 7+ years in Linux ops — SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering → 3+ years Python and shell scripting → Deep Linux internals: kernel, scheduling, performance tuning → Strong networking: routing, multicast, VLANs, ethernet → C++ exposure useful, not essential → CS degree or equivalent → On-call availability and a bias toward action

→ Tier one HFT compensation — all cash, base plus bonus, sign-on, and unvested shares paid out → Full relocation package and visa support if required → NCs paid out — we'll make the move worth it → Sydney, Singapore, or global placement consideredYou'll be coming from Staff level or above at big tech or a tier one HFT firm.
