About This Role
The School of Computing and Creative Technologies at UWE Bristol is rapidly expanding, with around 130 academic staff and over 2,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our state-of-the-art programmes cover a wide range of computing disciplines, and we also support a growing and successful body of research. We currently offer a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, delivered on campus. We also have active PhD students in this area.
About You
Candidates for the Senior Lecturer in Computer science position should have a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Expertise in one or more areas of Computer Science and it’s applications is essential. These areas include but are not limited to: programming, algorithms, software development, distributed systems, databases, mobile applications, operating systems, cloud computing, web design.
The primary focus of this role will be teaching, and we will expect you to support teaching on our programmes, although you will be encouraged and supported in your research ambitions. The successful candidate will be able to adapt their teaching style to provide a supportive and inclusive learning experience for our students.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

This is a permanent post and is full-time on a 1.00 FTE contract.
