CPT Technician – Join Our Geotechnics Team in Christchurch We have an exciting opportunity for aCPT Technicianto join our Geotechnics team in Christchurch. This role offers the chance to work on unique projects alongside a supportive and skilled team. As part of our Geotechnics group, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality testing and investigations that support some of New Zealand’s most interesting infrastructure and development projects. You’ll enjoy a mix of field and lab work, hands‑on technical challenges, and the chance to collaborate with experienced professionals who are passionate about what they do. * A proven track record of strong work ethic and delivering high-quality results * In‑depth knowledge of all types of CPT testing * Solid competency in Microsoft Word and Excel (intermediate level or above) * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively The work is varied and includes: * CPT testing, reporting, maintenance, and quality control * Geotechnical field testing and investigation * Civil laboratory testing * Operating heavy testing and soil sampling equipment * Training and supervising technicians * 2+ years’ experience with CPT equipment and data compilation * Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred; training available) * Physically fit and comfortable with hands‑on, outdoor work * Willingness to travel and work across regions * Strong communication and customer relationship skills * Team player with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude * High attention to detail, time management, and quality paperwork * Appreciation for quality systems and processes If you’re passionate about geotechnical work and want to be part of a team that values quality and collaboration, apply now and take the next step in your career!
