About UsAirvoice Retail Group operates a network of supermarkets across South Australia, including a well-established store in Cummins on the Eyre Peninsula. We're looking for an experienced Retail Manager to take on a senior leadership role at this location.About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to take full operational responsibility for a supermarket location in Cummins. You'll lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure the store delivers on customer service, presentation, and profitability targets. This is a full-time, on-site role suited to someone looking to settle into a regional community and take genuine ownership of a store.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, rostering, and staff supervision

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage performance of store team members
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotions, and stock management
  • Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships to minimise wastage and stockouts
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S and food safety regulations
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising
  • Monitor and control wages, shrinkage, and other cost lines against budget
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and community engagement to build strong local relationships
  • Prepare and analyse sales reports, budgets, and KPIs, reporting to senior management
  • Ensure cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale procedures are followed correctly
  • Champion a positive, safe, and supportive workplace culture

About You
  • Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role (supermarket/grocery experience highly regarded but not essential)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Solid understanding of stock control, rostering, and P&L management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a flexible roster including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • A hands-on, "lead from the front" approach
  • Current driver's licence (relocation candidates welcome)
  • Full Australian working rights required.

What We Offer
  • $65,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation, dependent on experience
