Job Description
- Overnight Admissions & Inpatient Care: Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage care for previously admitted patients.
- Cross-Coverage Support: Provide backup to APPs, assist with ICU needs including rapid responses and Code Blue events (if available)
- Open and closed ICU models depending on site (Not all sites require procedures)
- Clinical Supervision (Optional Academic Track): Supervise residents and support triage and admissions for teaching teams—three nocturnists typically cover each night.
- Academic opportunities available at select locations
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) and ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain thorough charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and plans of care, ensuring compliance and accurate comorbidity coding.
- Visa Support: We support H1-B visas and J-1 waivers (J-1's are supported by our Washington Township, NJ and Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Campuses)
- Part-time and Per Diem Nocturnist Opportunities: We offer part-time and per diem Nocturnist opportunities dependent on location and needs.
NJ Locations Salary Range: $240,000 -$330,000
