Job Description:
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing community-based team in Canberra. This is a school-based role delivering occupational therapy services to children in educational settings across the region.The successful contractor will provide high-quality, client-centred therapy during school hours, with full administrative support provided by our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver paediatric OT services to children within school environments across Canberra
  • Provide 5 x 40-minute therapy sessions per working day
  • Work collaboratively with families, teachers, and support staff to achieve meaningful outcomes
  • Complete clinical documentation and session notes in a timely manner
  • Participate in professional communication with the broader multidisciplinary therapy team as needed

Working Hours
  • Client-facing sessions are scheduled between 9:30am and 2.30pm each working day
  • Choose your own weekly hours: 20–25 hours, with flexibility across school days are on offer.

Administrative SupportOur full administration team manages:
  • Calendars and scheduling
  • Client bookings
  • Invoicing
  • Cancellations and session coordination

This allows you to focus on delivering therapy, not managing logistics. Contractor Payment Structure
  • Contractors are paid per hour worked.

Contractor RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, you must:
  • Hold current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Have experience working with children and families in paediatric settings
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) relevant clearances for school-based work
  • Maintain your own professional indemnity insurance
  • Have a valid ABN

Tax and SuperannuationAs an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for:
  • Managing your own tax obligations
  • Arranging your own superannuation contributions
