Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key clinical role in delivering a high-quality SLT service, including assessment, intervention, participation in AON processes, involvement in ADOS assessments, and leadership of bespoke SLT projects.

This role includes offering support and informal leadership to Staff Grade SLTs and contributing to service development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions in accordance with professional standards.
  • Conduct AON assessments and collaborate with psychology and multidisciplinary colleagues to determine outcomes.
  • Participate in ADOS assessments, including observation and joint scoring.
  • Attend MDT meetings and complete clinical documentation within required timeframes.
  • Lead and contribute to bespoke SLT projects, including programme design and service improvement initiatives.
  • Support Staff Grade SLTs with clinical queries, AON processes, and intervention planning.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate intervention programmes; supervise delivery where required.
  • Produce clear, concise, and professional clinical reports using organisational templates.
  • Provide family feedback, including delivery of diagnostic feedback where SLT-led.
  • Manage caseload according to monthly capacity commitments and organisational guidelines.
  • Adhere to governance, communication, and administrative protocols, including timely submission of reports and ADOS notes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • CORU registration or eligibility for registration (international support provided).
  • Significant post-qualification experience in paediatrics and/or neurodevelopmental assessment.
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and report-writing skills.
  • Experience supervising junior clinicians or leading service initiatives is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within an MDT.
