Daily Grind Café is a high-volume food and beverage outlet, with a focus on quality, yet affordable cuisine. To put it in perspective the café serves around 80kg-90kg of coffee a week and services thousands of customers every week. We care about what we serve, how we serve it and a dedicated to ensuring our customers love what we do every time. Candidates will have experience in quality, high volume, restaurants or cafes. We require energetic, happy people, people who actually care about and for people and understand the difference you can make every day. On top of this we require our leaders to both help shape out processes, but also follow them and hold other to account. Key Responsibilities Supervision, training and coordination of food and beverage employees Holding keys for the security of bar areas Entry/supervision of entries in accounting records required to be kept and maintained under the relevant Act Preparing espresso Preparing teas Preparing complex beverages Cleaning bar areas, glasses and equipment Picking up glasses and taking drink orders Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests Using the EFTPOS machine Maintain stock control Some waitering and management duties, including taking payments, seating guests, taking orders, recommending food and beverages & management of lower level staff Preparing extensive list of preparation items for the bar area. Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures Other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Must have at least 2 years prior experience in a similar high level barista role.
