Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café and Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our luxury establishment. The successful candidate will ensure exceptional service, maintain high standards of food safety, and lead a motivated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary excellence and team leadership to contribute to a thriving food service environment handling our premium menus (artisan chocolate, specialized waffles, poached egg breakfasts, lunch sandwiches, and salad bowls). Responsibilities
  • Operational Control: Manage all aspects of café or restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and customer service.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, inspire, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding hospitality experiences.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee raw food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently across sweet and savoury departments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and maintain strict cleanliness standards across all areas. (Full support and assistance will be provided to help you obtain a food safety certificate upon employment if you do not currently hold one).
  • Workflow Optimisation: Coordinate food production processes, including kitchen organisation and workflow optimisation.
  • Menu Development: Monitor and develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients.
  • Guest Relations: Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to foster positive relationships.
  • Financial Monitoring: Monitor financial performance, including sales targets, cost control measures, cash reconciliations, and ledger banking deposits.
  • Staff Development: Implement training programmes for staff development in service excellence and food safety practices.

Qualifications
  • Experience & Eligibility: The successful candidate must possess a proven, documented track record of experience in restaurant, café, or hospitality management.
  • International Academic Degree: Overseas degree verified via an official Ecctis statement confirming English-taught equivalence.
  • Secure English Language Test (SELT): Passing certificate at CEFR Level B2 through an officially approved route) approved test provider (IELTS SELT, LanguageCert, Pearson PTE, or Trinity College London).
