Job Overview
Responsible for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex telecommunications infrastructure and network projects throughout Mid-Western Canada (AB, SK, MB). In this role, the applicant would bridge the gap between all required customers, field civil and installation crews & technical teams including engineering and business stakeholders to ensure networks like 5G, fiber optics, and VoIP systems are deployed on time and within budget PM/Coordinator Core Responsibilities
  • Telecom Construction/Technical Project Planning and Life Cycle: Project budgets, projects quoting and planning from the initial stages through to complete project closure, including defining scope, setting milestones, and managing technical feasibility, daily customer updates, project tracking including start to finish correspondence, updated project plans, and completion of all client-required Close Out Documents.
  • Infrastructure Oversight:Management of initial civil installation, tower design, supply and erection. Managing technical installation, configuration, and optimization of wireless and wired networks, such as fiber, DC (FTTH), IP networking, standard RF installation, and both tower and base mounted MW & satellite systems.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Establishing accurate project budgets, tracking expenditures, and allocating resources (personnel and equipment) to maximize efficiency throughout each project from start to finish
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinating with external vendors and 3rd party contractors to ensure compliance with pre-existing service level agreements (SLAs) project contracts, and milestone payments.
  • Risk & Quality Control: Identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and conducting quality audits to ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations within all office and field installation requirements.
  • Documentation: Preparing initial site budgets, cost proposals, technical documentation, project charters, progress reports, and all required COD & "as-built" documentation during and after full project completion

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Education:Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration. Multiple years of service within the Telecom industry would also be highly considered
  • Installation/Technical Expertise: Proficiency in telecom technologies like 5G, Fiber Optics, VoIP, LAN/WAN, and network topology in addition to the understanding of actual field installation requirements. Full knowledge and use of computer operating systems (Excel, Adobe, Word, Windows, Auto-cad etc.)
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 are highly preferred. (Multiple years of service within the Telecom industry would also be highly considered)
  • Software Proficiency: Skilled in using project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Jira, Ivalua, Ariba, Team-space or Monday.com. Experience with Vendor/Supplier platforms such FieldVizion, Siterra, Ivalua, Ariba very beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills are an essential, as PMs often spend up to 80% of their time communicating direct with the Clients to insure effective communication and project advancement through the life of the project – start to finish

Typical Work EnvironmentOffice: Mon-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (Jan to Jan) excluding Stat holidays and employee pre-booked holidaysHolidays: Standard 2 weeks paid holiday per/year, with added allowances upon approvalThis role involves mostly office-based customer planning and coordination however travel to project sites may be needed for customer required bid walks, project kick off meeting in addition to any on-site assistance, inspections or troubleshooting requirements needed by the project PM to support the client and field staff.The PM role would consist of 90% office & 10% field required duties when needed.Field Travel, site visits and client meetings will be required on accession and per project requirements as needed.Employer to supply vehicle and fuel for all requested duties outside the main office.All extra travel costs and accommodations related to field duties to be fully covered and reimbursed by TurrisJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $30.00-$35.00 per hourBenefits:
