We have 60 staff operating and maintaining a fleet of transport and quarry equipment, and we require a trade assistant to join our team of maintenance specialists dedicated to excellence. We offer a supportive work environment with guaranteed variety, maintaining a diverse fleet of fixed and mobile assets across 3 yards in the Perth Metro area.
THE JOBWe are seeking an experienced T/A to join our small workshop team. The role involves assisting with scheduled maintenance, workshop and field service duties on a range of trucks, trailers, earthmoving & screening equipment (Western Star, Mercedes, UD, Isuzu, Hino, Cat, Komatsu, Terrex screening & Rubble Master crushing equipment)Experience with the basic maintenance and operation of transport and earthmoving equipment is required for this position.Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years in either the transport/earthmoving or quarry mining industry to be considered for this positionCandidates with experience in the transport/earthmoving industry are preferred over quarry mining experience alone.
YOUR ROLE

• Assisting qualified mechanics and technicians with the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial trucks and trailers
• Attention to detail, including personal and team safety, is essential.
• Performing servicing tasks such as major trailer services on different types of trailers.
• Experience with Trailer services and bearing work is required for this position.

• Identifying and reporting any issues or areas of concern with the vehicles
• Ensuring the workshop is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
• Providing general support to the maintenance team as needed

WHAT YOU NEED

• Experience working on trucks and trailers in a trades assistant role within the Transport/Earthmoving industry

• Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow instructions closely
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively with qualified technicians
• A valid manual driver's licence and the ability to operate light vehicles
• A valid Class C (car) manual driver's licence is required.
