The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Payroll Officer to join our corporate team. Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, client invoicing, and payroll-related reporting. Working closely with internal stakeholders, employees, and clients, you will help maintain payroll compliance while delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Responsibilities- Process and reconcile payroll accurately and within required timeframes.
- Ensure employee payments comply with relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and legislation.
- Prepare client invoices and payroll reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to and resolve payroll enquiries from employees and clients.
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and payroll administration tasks.
- Support the maintenance of payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Escalate payroll issues and client disputes where required.
Requirements - Minimum 2 years' experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
- Understanding of payroll legislation, including ATO requirements, Superannuation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience within labour hire, workforce management, or a multi-company payroll environment will be highly regarded.
